In early 2005, "The Beakon" was adopted as the new name for our newsletter. The Bruce Peninsula Bird Observatory is located at Cabot Head on the Bruce Peninsula. The Bird Observatory and the Cabot Head lightstation were the inspiration for the newsletter's new name.
Beakon newsletters on this page are available for download as PDF document files. All files up until the 07/09 edition are full Beakons. All editions beginning with the 07/09 edition will be partial versions only. All files are small enough to be downloaded with a dialup internet connection. The size of each file is noted in kilobytes (within parentheses). To view a PDF document you need web-standard software called Acrobat Reader, which, if not already installed on your computer, is available at no charge here.
